Physical fitness is about making healthy choices, building positive habits, and pursuing progress – not perfection. The ATTA philosophy borrows from the ancient Greek concept that a life of balance is built upon a foundation of physical health.
While physical fitness is the cornerstone upon which Everyday Warriors grow mentally and spiritually, it doesn't mean spending eight hours a day in the gym, depriving ourselves of food, or buying products that promise instant results. In fact, quite the opposite; extremes all but guarantee failure, and short-cuts just don't exist.
Instead, we focus on making incremental changes that improve our health, increase our quality of life, and keep us motivated. This may include limiting high-calorie foods, exercising a couple of times each week, abstaining from harmful substances, and giving our bodies the time to rest and recuperate.
Although physical fitness is often associated with diet and exercise, it's also essential to monitor for acute changes in our health, get routine medical checkups, and protect ourselves from injury. Along with the more traditional approaches to staying fit, proactive measures are paramount to the ATTA Way – a lifestyle built on respecting our bodies and achieving our goals, One Step ATTA Time.
